Inspiration & Mentality
The vienna based multigenre producer, Timo alias Tophat Panda, has been honing his production skills in the past decade. Coming from a musical background he quickly picked up the habit of not being tied to one genre and has multiple projects running under different aliases.
In today’s rapidly growing music industry Timo is staying diverse by always pushing and progressing his musical soundscape and compositions to bring only the finest tunes into your home.
With early influences from electronic productions to the discovery of instrumental Hip Hop with artists like Nujabes , J Dilla , Marcus D and Uyama Hiroto , Tophat Panda shows a wide variety in his soundscape. His unique style of “Japanese Jazzhop” is a fusion of his mentioned influences mixed with traditional eastern instrumentations like an Erhu, Guzheng, Xiao and Dizi blended with mellow Drums.
One of his main goals is to connect people through music, which can also be seen in his very collaborative workstyle.
